NYC mayor expects 'surge' of city workers to get COVID-19 vaccine shot by Friday deadline

Starting Monday, New York City workers who don't comply with the vaccination mandate will be placed on unpaid leave until they get their first shot, Mayor Bill de Blasio said Wednesday.
